The town council represents legislative power.
It is comprised of twenty members elected every four years.
Anyone eligible to vote on municipal matters may be elected.
Activity of the town council
The municipal council submits proposals to the town council (loan applications, developments, adoption or modification of regulations, property purchases or sales, granting municipal status, etc.) via municipal message.
The town council committees (each comprised of five town councillors) give notice of the subjects within their scope and write up a report proposing acceptance, potential amendments or rejection of the municipal council proposal.
At the end of this process, the town council is called upon to deliberate on these subjects.
The chair of the town council convenes meetings with the municipal council: the meeting notice is placed on the municipal noticeboard.
The town council meetings are public.
The town council can activate a proposal through the institution of the motion.
In order to find out about and study issues regarding which it wishes to be informed by the municipal council, the members of the legislative council are able to put forward questions and queries.
