Old Age and Survivors Agency and Welfare Office

This office handles social and welfare services. As the municipal Old Age and Survivors’s Insurance (OASI)/Disability Insurance (DI) agency, it acts as a go-between and consultation service with the Social Insurance Institute (IAS) on behalf of the local population.

As a social welfare office, it offers information and advice to families, the elderly, young people and adults to help them access organisations and social services, as well as services, benefits and resources provided by public and private organisations and associations.

Services relating to the Law on the harmonisation and coordination of social benefits

This office performs various duties in the field of the social services identified by the Law on the harmonisation and coordination of social benefits (LAPS). The consultant informs users about the procedure, provides advice, checks that all the necessary documentation is complete and makes an appointment at the regional LAPS help desk in Paradiso.
