Morcote’s schools cater for children from the municipalities of Morcote and Vico Morcote.

The school is comprised of two primary school sections.

The children of the nursery school attend the school institute in Bissone.

Enrolments

In order for children to attend Nursery School and Elementary School, parents are required to proceed with the enrollment of their children through a specific form. Parents of school-age children automatically receive the necessary documentation by mail.

Parents of children who establish residence in the Municipality during the year must notify the School Administration.

For children over 4 years of age, there is a mandatory school attendance requirement. If enrolled in private schools or abroad, it is necessary to forward a certificate of school attendance to the School Administration.

The Municipality is responsible for verifying compliance with the legal obligation of school attendance.
